About the Show
The show, based on the well-loved book by Barbara Robinson has become a new Holiday Classic. Suited for family audiences, this Christmas comedy is sure to entertain both children and adults. When young Mrs. Bradly is tasked with directing the church Christmas pageant she assumes that it will be the same old boring pageant. Boy, was she wrong! The Herdmans (the worst kids in town) decide to participate and everything goes haywire. When Imogene and Ralph Herdmans are cast as Mary and Joseph the town is in an uproar. With the whole Herdman gang in the show it’s anyone’s guess how the pageant will turn out.
about auditions
No experience necessary. Notification of conflicts with the rehearsal schedule will be required of all auditioners at the time of the audition. Those auditioning for Angel Choir and Baby Angels will be asked to sing but need not prepare a selection.

The Bradley Family. Grace Bradley is the director of the pageant, a very large role.
The Herdmans--all youth roles
The Sunday School Kids--all youth roles (Some are in the Angel Choir and some are Shepherds in the Pageant)
Mrs. Armstrong--medium sized adult role
Church Women--All smaller adult roles
Two Firemen--small nonspeaking adult roles
Rev. Hopkins--small-medium adult role
Baby Angels--youngest cast (7,8 or 9 year olds) members in their own choir
Rehearsals & Performances
All rehearsals and performances will take place at Mesa High School in Room 205 (Theatre Room) and/or the Auditorium.

This does NOT need to be memorized, but we ask that you are familiar enough with it to keep your face up and out of the page(s). If you are interested in more that one role, please mark that on your Audition Form, but you can only read ONE READING so choose whichever reading you feel shows off your best ability.
