The 2026–2027 Jackrabbit Theatre Company season theme is “Playing the Part.”  Our productions explore what happens when the roles we play begin to crack, and something more honest emerges underneath. Through comedy, heart, music, satire, and unexpected transformation, each production examines the masks people wear to survive, succeed, belong, or protect themselves. Whether through outrageous farce, mistaken identity, social expectation, or unlikely redemption, these stories remind us that humanity is often found not in perfection, but in vulnerability, chaos, and connection. This season balances high-energy entertainment with meaningful emotional depth while continuing the Jackrabbit Theatre Company commitment to creating theatrical experiences that challenge students artistically, foster ensemble collaboration, and engage audiences with productions that are both accessible and impactful.

The show, based on the well-loved book by Barbara Robinson has become a new Holiday Classic. Suited for family audiences, this Christmas comedy is sure to entertain both children and adults. When young Mrs. Bradly is tasked with directing the church Christmas pageant she assumes that it will be the same old boring pageant. Boy, was she wrong! The Herdmans (the worst kids in town) decide to participate and everything goes haywire. When Imogene and Ralph Herdmans are cast as Mary and Joseph the town is in an uproar. With the whole Herdman gang in the show it’s anyone’s guess how the pageant will turn out.
